Čile je ovaj tjedan počeo postupno skraćivati radni tjedan sa sadašnjih 45 na 40 sati.

U petak je objavom predsjednika Gabriela Borica u toj južnoameričkoj državi na snagu stupio zakon o 40-satnom tjednu. U početku će radni tjedan biti skraćen s 45 na 44 sata.

U travnju 2026. radni tjedan smanjit će se na 42 sata, a zatim konačno na 40 sati tjedno 2028. godine. Plaće zaposlenika ostaju iste.

“Ovaj je zakon dobar za zemlju, radnike i tvrtke”, rekla je ministrica rada Jeannette Jara za radijsku postaju Cooperativa.

“Trenutno ima dosta izostanaka s posla zbog umora, psihičkih bolesti zbog prezaposlenosti i dvostruke opterećenosti žena“, dodala je.

Čile je u OECD-u jedna od zemalja s najduljim radnim tjednom.
