U nominacijama za nagradu Grammy ove godine apsolutno dominiraju žene

Dodjela nagrade Grammy će se održati 31. siječnja i to putem službene web stranice ove utjecajne nagrade. Najviše nominacije ove je godine otišlo za Dua Lipi koja ih je osvojila pet uključujući i nominacije za album godine i pjesmu godine „Future Nostalgia“. Iako je rođena u Londonu Dua Lipa je porijeklom s Kosova odakle su njezini roditelji Anesa Lipa i otac Dukagjin Lipa pjevač kosovske rock grupe Oda. Dua Lipu u broju nominacija slijede Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish i Beyonce.

Po prvi put u povijesti nagrada Grammy samo su žene nominirane za najbolju rock izvedbu na Grammyju 2021. godine. U pitanju su ili solo projekti ili bendovi koji imaju pjevačicu, a riječ je o Fioni Apple sa pjesmom „Shameika“, Phoebe Bridgers sa pjesmom „Kyoto“, „The Steps“ Haima, „Stay High“ Brittany Howard, Grace Potter’s „Daylight“’ i pjesmi „Not“ grupe Big Thief na čijem je čelu Adrienne Lenker.

Svakako treba izdvojiti i nominacije za Best jazz vocal album gdje se na popisu našao i album „Ona“ hrvatsko američke jazz pjevačice i skladateljice Thane Alexe Pavelić.
