JORDAN Pogubljeno 15 terorista i kriminalaca

Jordan authorities announced it executed 15 convicts, including 10 terrorists on 04 March 2017. The Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs, Mohammed Momani, who is also the government spokesperson said that 10 terrorists were executed after they were convicted of crimes including what is known as Irbid terror cell", and the terror attack against the General Intelligence Department office in Bakaa refugee camp. Some of those executed were convicted of other crimes including the attack on public security personnel near Irbid's Samma town, the assassination of columnist Nahed Hattar, terror bomb attack on Jordan's Embassy in Baghdad in 2003, and the terrorist attack against foreign tourists visiting the Roman amphitheater in Amman. The minister also said that another five criminals, who committed major criminal offenses and incest, were also executed. Jordan je u subotu pogubio 15 zatvorenika, među kojima su desetiroca osuđena zbog terorizma, prenosi BBC.

Svi zatvorenici bili su Jordanci, a obješeni su u subotu u zoru u zatvoru južno od glavnog grada Ammana. Petorica koja nisu osuđena zbog terorizma, smrtne kazne dobili su zbog silovanja i seksualnih napada.

Među pogubljenima se nalaze sudionici u napadima na jordansko veleposlanstvo u Bagdadu 2003. godine, napad na turiste u rimskom amfiteatru u Ammanu 2006. godine, napade na čuvare u izbjegličkom kampu prošle godine te za ubojstvo jordanskog pisca Nahida Hattara.

Skupine za ljudska prava osudile su pogubljenja.
